You may remember back in early spring we announced a new partnership with St Monica Trust for a new community project based in south Bristol. The purpose of this upcoming project is to run a community focused theatre project engaging older generations in South Bristol to share their life stories through a co-created performance.
We are delighted to be able to confirm that all the planning is in place, and for year one of this three year programme the project will be held at Monica Wills House in Bedminster.
With support from Filwood Community Centre providing community engagement expertise, the project will create an inter-generational experience for beneficiaries. South Bristol Youth will be working with the team on the project to co-ordinate youth set-design workshops which will compliment the theatre workshops and performance being held at Monica Wills House.
The project will be open to ALL to take part. No previous acting or performance experience is required. The only caveat being that you must be a resident of South Bristol and over the age of 55. It’s as simple as that!
The project will meet weekly every Tuesday from the 29th September 2025 to the 2nd December 2025, with a final performance piece and celebration on Friday 5th December 2025.
