TFT Business Club Welcomes pad Design

We are delighted to announce that local architects pad Design have joined us as TFT Business Club Members.

pad Design are our friends and neighbours, based in the upstairs offices of the Tobacco Factory, and they have pledged their support to TFT Business Club to assist us in our community work via our Get Involved programme.

pad is a team of architects, masterplanners and urban designers who engage in a wide portfolio of work creating and enhancing places in which people work, rest and play. They support their clients in designing sustainable, deliverable and creative solutions that meet and exceed objectives and user needs.

pad Design Director Martin Douglas commented “Having been a member of the Tobacco Factory Family pretty much from the start of our business operations, it’s a wonderful opportunity to again join the re-launched TFT sponsorship programme. Most of our staff live locally and have enjoyed many a theatre performance over the years. We all appreciate the joy and engagement these shows create and supporting TFT’s invaluable community outreach work is without doubt the right thing to do.”

Tobacco Factory Theatres’ Business Club is a mutually beneficial partnership which gives the theatre support and provides members with perks such as complimentary tickets, discounted offers for staff, exclusive networking events, as well as great brand exposure.

TFT’s Communications & Fundraising Director Jamie Rees said, “We are delighted pad Design have joined our newly launched TFT Business Club.  These relationships not only strengthen our outreach work, but also allows us to get the word out to Bristol Business’ that their support of the arts really does make a measurable impact.

Being another company located in South Bristol, their support embodies what we are trying to achieve locally – making theatre accessible for all both within the BS3 postcode area and beyond.  Without our business club, we would not be able to offer with confidence discounted tickets as we do – whether that’s for 16-25yr olds, free community performances for local charities or bursary places for our Summer Schools and Young Theatre Maker courses.

When businesses and the arts come together in this way it can really make ALL the difference in making our theatre a place of welcome and wonder for everyone.  This is something we are passionate about.”
