We are thrilled that Redmaids’ High School is supporting Tobacco Factory Theatres as it stages A View From the Bridge and Princess Charming, as well as supporting our Get Involved activity for Young People.
Our Get Involved Producer, Ailie deBonnaire says:
“Redmaids’ High School’s support for our Get Involved programme for Young People is allowing us to introduce loads of fresh young people to the theatre for the first time, encouraging them to take part in a range of activities such as discussions and debates chaired by young people for young people. Their support really is helping us break new ground.”
As part of their package of support, Redmaids’ High School will receive a series of workshops linked to productions at the theatre. As part of the partnership, in October Ailie facilitated a workshop for drama students that explored our major production, Samuel Beckett’s Waiting For Godot.
Sarah McCormack, Head of Drama and Theatre Studies at Redmaids’ High School, says: “Tobacco Factory Theatres stage so many excellent shows which we regularly bring our students to see. Drama is such a vital part of every young person’s education that we are delighted to be helping to introduce theatre to more young people through our partnership. And the workshops Tobacco Factory Tobacco Factory Theatres professionals are bringing an invaluable added dimension to our own students’ learning.”
