OCTOBER HALF TERM THEATRICAL MAKE-UP WORKSHOP (AGES 14-18)

Brushes at the ready this Halloween for a full day workshop exploring the exciting world of theatrical make-up! 

Learn how make-up is used in theatre and performance to bring characters to life, from subtly transforming an actor’s look to epic special effects. Experiment with professional techniques, explore character design, and create your own frightful theatrical look inspired by the ghosts, ghouls and creatures of the spooky season. 

The workshop will include: 

• Practical tutorials on make-up techniques such as aging, bruising and creating wounds 

• Exploring character design and developing your own make-up concept 

• Applying your new skills to create your own theatrical look 

• Specialist make-up materials to bring your character to life 

• Hands on support throughout the day from professional make-up facilitators 

Led by Vikki Muse, Programme Lead in Specialist Make-up Design at SGS College, this introductory workshop offers a fun, supportive and creative environment, perfect for anyone curious about theatre, design or make-up.
