WWG: GURTMANIA

Following their sell-out smash hit Gurt Haunted, GURT Productions have stopped fighting with ghosts and are now fighting with themselves! WWG: GURTMania is a love letter to the world of professional wrestling, told in GURT’s chaotic trademark comedy style.

Blood. Sweat. And a whole lot of lycra…

…three things every pro-wrestler can’t live without.

But behind the cameras and the catchphrases, what does it actually take to be the best there is, was, or ever will be? And what happens when the world of trash talk and tapouts becomes blurred with the truth of everyday reality?

Told in GURT Productions’ iconic, outrageous and side-splitting mockumentary style, WWG: GURTMania follows the twists and turns of a ‘semi’ professional Westcountry wrestling academy, as three generations of athletes metaphorically and physically wrestle with what it means to be a man living in a post-truth world.

This show asks: what demons lie within these wrestlers, who will show the new kids the ropes, who will be the last to tap out, but most importantly – who’s been stuffing socks down their lycra?

Brace yourself for a night of slams, suplexes and outright silliness that’ll punch harder than the big show.
