Developed with support from Tobacco Factory Theatres, This Island’s Mine is a playful and daring exploration of the place we choose to call home, filled with magic, music and mayhem.
Ariel was always here.
Caliban was born here.
And Stephano has just arrived.
They all claim ‘this island’s mine’. But do any of them have that right? And what happens if they can’t agree?
Set in the extraordinary world of Shakespeare’s The Tempest, Roustabout present a playful and daring exploration of the place we choose to call home.
This show encourages young people to ask: Where do I belong? Where is my home? Is it truly mine?

COVID SAFETY MEASURES
All Spielman Theatre performances on sale from August 2021 are currently sold with a reduced capacity and with unreserved seating in order that we can maintain social distancing. For the performance, different groups will be seated in the auditorium with distance between them. There will also be a range of measures that enable your safe journey through all of the building. We may increase capacity and relax measures once we are certain it’s safe to do so, however we will guarantee at least one socially distanced performance per week for all shows with a run of at least five performances – see more below. Read more about our Covid safety measures this autumn.
SOCIALLY DISTANCED SHOWS
The following performance will be guaranteed as socially distanced and this will not change regardless of external circumstances. Audiences are asked to wear face coverings for this performance, unless exempt:
