A powerful new piece of theatre from the award-winning writer and poet Sabrina Mahfouz and directed by our very own Director in Residence, Nel Crouch.
Mona is pregnant. Her boyfriend has died. His mother is going crazy with grief and Mona has something big to tell her.
My flesh isn’t like the dough you use
for your gluten-free double choc chip coconut sultana cookies Susan.
You can’t just grab it, flatten it and push it through a metal mould.
I’m a human being not a bloody Great British Bake Off ingredient.
Exploring the ever-topical and emotive subject of abortion in the 21st Century, this is a brand new drama for our a Play, a Pie and a Pint series, which celebrates new writing. And pies. Sabrina Mahfouz is an exceptionally talented artist who received a Fringe First Award for her play Chef in 2014 and a Sky Arts Award.
