This summer we offer you the chance to have fun with theatre!
Working with highly experienced theatre practitioners children will develop their drama skills through games, imaginative play, role play and storytelling. Each day, children will be encouraged to expand their self-confidence, communication ability and team work skills. The days will be fun and creative and will involve a range of physical and craft activities.
The sessions are led by skilled theatre makers with strong backgrounds in creating work with and for young people.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Working with a professional theatre maker and a creative team, you will be here at the theatre each day. The sessions will be full of games, play and creativity. Bring your ideas, enthusiasm and energy!
The Summer School will include:
- Fun and energising warm up games
- Voice work
- Acting and ensemble movement
- Trust and teambuilding
Please note, we have more than one workshop facilitator working on each summer school. Therefore most of the time children will be working in smaller groups with those similar in age, for example 5-6 year olds and 7–8 year olds.

Our Get Involved programme is at the very heart of our mission to provide a welcoming home for creative adventures. We want these opportunities to be open to all by keeping prices as low as possible. The true cost per person of running this summer school is £60 per day or £180 for the full three days, so if you are able to spend a little more, your contribution will help support our theatre and the incredible artists we work with to bring you this programme.
