    About

This Christmas, experience the enchantment of Tobacco Factory Theatres’ spellbinding and inventively playful take on a beloved Brothers Grimm fairytale.

In a secluded tower deep within the forest, Rapunzel charts stars and planets and dreams of a world beyond her walls. When an unexpected visitor climbs through her window and into her strange little world, he brings colour, chaos, and the thrill of the unknown. Soon, Rapunzel must make a choice between keeping herself safe or exploring freedom.

Featuring unforgettable original music, captivating characters, and wonderfully wild invention, this show has been created by the talented team behind past family favourites such as Cinderella: A Fairy Tale, The Borrowers, and Oliver Twist.

Written by Sharon Clark, and directed by Tom Brennan, this heartwarming production tells a story about growing up, venturing out, and discovering your own voice – all wrapped up in an unforgettable adventure (with plenty of extraordinary hair).

Join us for a mischievous, magical and marvellously hairy festive adventure – the kind only TFT can conjure.
