ARCHIVE: Magic In The Making: The Actors’ Workshop

MAGIC IN THE MAKING is a fast-paced, eclectic mix of speeches, scenes, songs and original work, showcasing students on The Actors’ Workshop’s part-time college foundation course, many of whom have been offered places on BA and MA courses at top UK drama schools.

Unique in the area, this part-time course prepares young actors for every aspect of drama school auditions and has an enviable track record – with graduates of the programme at most of the major drama schools and others successfully navigating the profession. Despite ferocious competition, every year many students are offered places at accredited drama schools.

The course is taught by experienced working actors, singers, dancers, who understand the levels of skill required and guide students through every aspect of the audition process and beyond.

MAGIC IN THE MAKING is a celebration of that journey, featuring monologues, scenes, songs, dances and original devised work, all thematically interwoven to tell a story that is at once unique and universal, poignant and humorous – and above all, introduces some of Bristol’s most exciting young actors.
