Performed by our community choir, Factory Tapes is a presentation of stories and memories from the lives of the Factory Singers choir members, woven together with songs.
Taking inspiration from the well known BBC Radio 4 programme, Desert Island Discs, the Factory Tapes seeks to explore the powerful connection between song and story with a rich repertoire featuring the music of Pink Floyd, Joni Mitchell, The Beatles, The Cure, Florence and the Machine and more.
A beautiful show, and a chance to really get to know the incredible humans that make up the Factory Singers.
“Factory Tapes is a living breathing Desert Island Discs – an unpacking of those memories that belong to us and us alone. ‘That song’ that mirrors ‘that story’, the one we turned up loud, belted in the pub or sobbed to on our beds. Voices loud, tripping through our loves, hopes and truths – a musical homage to messy and joyous lives.” – Annabel Reddick, Choir Member
