A UK PREMIERE FROM BRISTOL SCHOOL OF ACTING
Bound, hooded and tossed into a dark room, a woman waits for a visitor. Alone with just a guard for company, she seems to know how this plays out.
Elsewhere, a boy and a girl toy with a mysterious package on a park bench; a pregnant police officer considers recent events with a colleague; an adulterous woman angrily turns on her partner; and a husband faces up to the consequences of his actions.
As it gains traction in the media, what links each of these people to such a high-profile kidnapping? And to what end?
Catalan playwright Sergi Belbel’s searing and darkly humorous account of conflict, power and ideology is, at times, unflinchingly violent and visceral; depicting human beings as absurd and often comic creatures, united by blood, divided by almost everything else.
This is a UK premiere, performed by Bristol School of Acting’s graduating Stage and Screen degree students.
