    Blindingly Funny

      06 Feb - 06 Feb 2024

Sight Support West of England proudly presents an evening of comedy, Confessions & compassion

COMEDY! A fabulous line up of 5 acts. The best comedians you have never heard of, poetry perfection, and proof that you don’t need to be blind to be funny (though it helps).

CONFESSIONS! You’ll have to come along to find out…

COMPASSION! Everyone performing on the night has a connection to sight loss, either living with sight loss or loves someone who is.

We are delighted to announce our magnificent line-up for the Comedy event of 2024! In no particular order at all, here are our amazing acts:

    • Lizzy Lenco We don’t often think of blindness as funny – but that doesn’t stop the lovely Lizzy! Think disability, heavy metal and cream cakes – that will give you the idea.
    • Jake Donaldson Headliner Jake describes himself as visually impaired and perpetually anxious. However this does not stop him being a sex-magnet and supremely funny.
    • David C Johnson A long time friend of Sight Support West, he has been described as Bristol’s answer to John Hegley – look on the tea towel of the 100 best poets and you’ll find David!
    • Si Deaves The multi-talented Si Deaves hails from Southend on Sea, Essex. Si is a writer, podcaster as well as being described as one of the country’s most original undiscovered performers.

And last but not least, Bristol based comedian Louise Leigh will be our magnificent MC. Think 3D – Daftness, Deftness and Delightful-ness!

Buying a ticket for Blindingly Funny is one of the many ways you can support the important work of Sight Support West of England – helping people living with sight loss retain their independence.

You’ll also be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win a pair of tickets to see superstar Sarah Millican at the Bristol Beacon in July 2024!
