    About

Join anatomist, author and broadcaster Alice Roberts on a voyage of discovery – to find out what it is that makes us human.

Alice has been exploring this question for years. She has looked deep inside the human body to find out what makes us tick. She has gone back in time to find out how we evolved to be the way we are. She’s followed the ancestral journeys which led to humans emerging from their homeland of Africa to colonise the globe.

And she’s even had her own brain scanned and 3D printed to see if she can find any clues there. Now she’s ready to share all her discoveries.

University professor, Alice Roberts, has presented several landmark
BBC television series on the evolution of humans – and other animals – including The Incredible Human Journey, Origins of Us and Ice Age Giants. She is also the author of The Incredible Unlikeliness of Being, which was shortlisted for the Wellcome Book Prize last year.
