“DESERVES A STANDING OVATION FOR ITS SHEER WELL-DRILLED BRILLIANCE…”
THE PUBLIC REVIEWS
Please note: Due to illness, Howard Coggins has had to withdraw from the show following advice from his doctor. Fortunately, the third of the founding trio, Craig Edwards, is not only a fantastic director – having directed all of Living Spit’s shows to date – but also a wonderful comic actor. He is stepping into Howard’s part as Winston, and will have played for two weeks out of town before arriving in Bristol.
We hope Howard gets well soon but we’re also a little bit excited that the third Living Spit amigo finally gets on stage in one of the most wonderful Living Spit shows. Craig Edwards is well known at Tobacco Factory Theatres, having performed in shows such as Cinderella and The Borrowers, and he is thoroughly looking forward to getting back onto the Factory Theatre stage.
Two Actors. Two World Leaders. One Black Dog
Winston Churchill looks in the mirror, realises that only he can steer our great nation through its darkest hour and steels himself for the hard road ahead.
Howard Coggins looks in the mirror, shaves, realises he looks a bit like Winston Churchill and steels himself to break some bad news to his good friend, Stu.
Stu Mcloughlin looks in the mirror and realises that he’ll have to grow a little moustache.
Buoyed by the success of “The Six Wives of Henry VIII”, “Elizabeth I: Virgin on the Ridiculous”, and unafraid to tackle the big subjects in an essentially inconsequential way, Living Spit’s Howard & Stu are back walking the tightrope of taste and decency with another slice of poorly-researched history. But will either of them escape from this war alive…?
