    Tobacco Factory Theatres is home to two distinctive performance spaces, each offering flexibility, professional support and a welcoming environment for artists and audiences. Whether you’re presenting new work, touring a production or staging a one-off event, our team will guide you through a clear hire process – from initial enquiry to opening night.

    The Factory Theatre is our main house – a dynamic, adaptable space suited to larger-scale performances and touring work. The Spielman Theatre is our studio space – flexible and intimate, ideal for new work and more experimental shows.

    Both theatres are fully wheelchair accessible, with step-free entry, lift access and accessible facilities on the same level. If you or your company have specific access requirements, just include these in your enquiry.

    Factory Theatre

    Our main performance space, the Factory Theatre, is a dynamic, flexible venue well suited to larger-scale productions, touring work and shows looking to reach a wider audience.

    The space includes large dressing rooms for your company, as well as a private kitchenette for use during your hire.

    Performance Hire Rates:

    £950 + VAT for the first day

    £760 + VAT for day two

    £570 + VAT for all subsequent days

    If you are a school or charity, please get in touch for a discounted rate.

    Box office:

    We manage all ticketing and sales. Visiting companies receive 100% of NBOR (total ticket sales minus a 12% booking fee).

    What’s included:

    · Access from 10:00 on day one

    · Access 2 hours before your event on subsequent days

    · Use of the bar for your audience

    · A Duty Technician to support get-in

    · Front of House staffing

    Performance Hire at TFT 2

    Additional costs

    Some elements are not included in the standard hire and may incur additional fees. These include technician time to operate your show, and any additional technical equipment you may require.

    We can also offer paid marketing support, including email campaigns, paid ads and content creation. Details can be shared on request.

    Good to know:

    · Events must be confirmed and paid for in advance of your booking

    · Hirers are responsible for promoting their event

    Spielman Theatre

    Our studio performance space, the Spielman Theatre, is a black box studio well suited to new work, smaller-scale productions and more experimental performances.

    The space includes dressing room facilities for use during your hire.

    £650 + VAT for the first day

    £520 + VAT for all subsequent days
