Hansel and Gretel: Community Performance

    Hansel and Gretel: Community Performance

Earlier today, members of our local community experienced a magical, special performance of Hansel & Gretel. Community connection lies at the heart of Tobacco Factory Theatres, and to celebrate the success of this enchanting in-house production, we invited local charities and members of our local community, including local refugee charities, to enjoy the show.

For this year’s festive in-house production, we have teamed up with NIE who has enchanted audiences with their takes on The Snow Queen (2022), Snow White (2019), and Beauty and The Beast (2017). An ensemble of five talented actor-musicians weaves together original live music, puppetry, and captivating storytelling in a heartwarming show filled with music, magic, and joy.

    Heidi Vaughan shared:
“We are thrilled to once again invite local charities into TFT to experience a free Community Performance of our Main House Christmas show, co-produced with New International Encounter, Hansel & Gretel. It was a joy to speak to so many young audience members after the performance, many of whom had never been to a theatre before… I even got a high five from one young person as they skipped out of the auditorium.”

Tobacco Factory Theatres provided 232 free tickets to community groups and charities for this production of Hansel & Gretel.

A heartfelt thank you also goes to Marshfield Ice Cream for donating delicious treats for all who attended!

To everyone who joined us over the past seven weeks: your support has made this show an unforgettable experience for our cast, creative team, front-of-house staff, and office crew. We’ll cherish these memories for many years to come.

Hansel and Gretel is here only until this weekend 19th January—don’t miss your chance to be part of the magic. Book your tickets now!
