Cast Announcement: Cosi fan tutte at Tobacco Factory Theatres!

After the success of last year’s in-house co-production with Opera Project, The Marriage of Figaro, we are delighted to welcome them back to Tobacco Factory Theatres this autumn with another sparkling Mozart comedy, Così fan tutte.

    About Così fan tutte

A playful tale of love, loyalty and disguise, Così sees two young officers put their sweethearts’ faithfulness to the test… with unexpected results. Egged on by the cynical Don Alfonso and the spirited maid Despina, the pair assume new identities and attempt to seduce each other’s fiancées — setting in motion a riot of mistaken identities, romantic confusion and emotional chaos.

Packed with glorious music and razor-sharp wit, Così fan tutte is a bittersweet comedy of love’s contradictions and the games we play in its name. Sung in English by a superb cast and accompanied by the brilliant Opera Project Orchestra, this new production promises all the charm, warmth and energy audiences have come to expect from one of our most cherished collaborations.
