Choose Your Own Adventure: Work In Progress

Living Spit, the West Country’s best-loved two-handed (usually) comedy-musical-theatre company, might make a Choose Your Own Adventure-style show in 2027, where the audience decides what happens next and every performance careers off in a different direction. 

We think we’ve worked out a mechanism that will make this work brilliantly. The only slight problem is that so far we’ve only tried it on ourselves, and we already think it’s brilliant. 

So, before making the whole show, we want to test it on some people we don’t know, who might tell us it’s rubbish. We always do R&D before going into rehearsal, but this is the first time we’ve been foolish enough to show the results to the public. 

Stu McLoughlin and Peta Maurice will spend a fortnight in a rehearsal room and then, for two nights only, perform whatever they’ve come up with. Come and see if we’ve cracked it, or if we should forget the whole thing.
